far superior to the blurry CIS technology offered by other flat bed scanners on the market today. I originally purchased my Epson Perfection V350 in 2007 because I needed a reliable scanner that could handle three dimensional objects and alleviate all the set up time, tricky lighting requirements and the expense of digital photography equipment. My three dimensional objects come out sharp and clear, as well as true to their original color. Because I need to do a high volume of imaging each day, I needed something quick, easy and efficient. The CCD sensor of the Epson Perfection gives me great depth of field. At an average of twenty scans per day, my Epson Perfection V350 still remains reliable after more than a year of constant use.Great little 3-D scanner for the price, and I would happily recommend it to anyone in the craft business looking for an affordable, fast and easy way to image their inventory.
Writing a review is OPTIONAL. If I don't have the time and I pass up on the review, Amazon has no business sending me not one but two more emails to review the product. The scanner works just fine by the way. But your treatment makes me not want to order again very soon.
I just spoke with Epson, and they tell me the manufacurer's suggested price for the Epson V350 is $129.99. Unless their customer service is mistaken, the one offered here on Amazon is overpriced.
The scanner works GREAT, and automatically creates a.jpg image the exact size of your photo -- not like other scanners that makes an 8.5 x 11 image with white in the background. The problem with this product is the software. HOWEVER, if you have A LOT of photos, you will have to scan them one at a time. The negative loader works well, too. It's not easy to get your settings (and I'm an advanced user)., and it's a bit slow. I would've given more stars for the quality of the scan, but the software is really, really, bad. Also, if you have a lot of photos, you can send them off to be scanned for the same price as this scanner.
Our last scanner was an Epson and we had no problems with for 4 years until it finally burned out. We have not used the 35mm neg.
With the free shipping it arrived in only a few days. We purchased the Epson Perfection V350 on 03/09/2008.
No complaints so far. The installation was effortless on Windows XP-SP2.
Operation is so easy "that my computer illiterate wife could use it" her quote. scan option yet.
We hope the Perfection V350 last as long.
